My name is Bowzer and I came to the shelter in September 2014. I am a 1 year old male Pit. Before coming to the shelter, I bounced around from house to house because no one seemed to want me. All I want is for a nice family to adopt me who is ready for the responsibility of owning a dog. When I 1st came to the shelter, I was not a happy camper...I was scared and didn't understand why I was locked in a kennel. But once the nice shelter staff began to diligently work with me, I started to come around. One thing the staff learned about me was that I looove to play fetch! And I love to be pet and praised, and I love when you tell me I'm a good boy! I haven't had a whole lot of that in my life. I am a high energy dog and need an experienced dog owner who has the time to work with me on walking nicely on the leash and with basic obedience commands. All I need to do is find the right home for me, and I promise to be a loyal companion.
