My name is Bowzer and I was surrendered to the shelter in March 2012. I am a 1 1/2 year old neutered male Hound. I was actually adopted from the shelter about a year ago, but my owners decided to bring me back. Before that, my litter was surrendered to the shelter because there were 11 of us and we were unwanted. So I am very sad that I was surrendered again. Hopefully my next adoption will be to my forever home. The shelter people feel that I need to be adopted to someone who has the time to train me. I am currently being fostered and trained by Country HosPETality's owner, Deana Wolfe. I am making much progress! I am in a 6 week training schedule, so if I am adopted before this is up, my new owners will be able to finish this training with Deana, free of charge, for the remainder of the 6 weeks. I cannot wait to show potential adoptors everything I've learned! I would also really benefit from daily exercise...so if you're looking for a running partner, that would be me! It's just important that I'm always on the leash! With the right home and the right owners, I will be the perfect companion. A little work and patience goes a long way.
Adoption Process: HAHS has an adoption application that you can fill out if you are interested in one of our animals. Once we receive the application we review and contact veterinary and personal references and make sure that the animal chosen is the best fit for your family and lifestyle. Our adoption fees are as follows: Dog/Puppy: $100 plus an additional $35 refundable spay/neuter deposit Kittens under 13wks :$25 plus an additional $35 refundable s/n deposit Cats: $40 plus and additional $35 refundable s/n deposit.
