My name is Cane and I was surrendered to the shelter in January 2013. I am a 10 month old male Lab / German Shepherd mix. My owner was absolutely heartbroken to have to give me up, but she could no longer keep me. I am a very friendly, playful and affectionate boy. I've just got an all around great personality! I love to go for walks and I love to play. There were cats in my previous home, so I'm used to being around them! I've also been around other dogs and I do just fine. There were also children in my previous home who I loved to play with. I would just do best with older children, only because when we get playing, I get really excited and tend to jump. My favorite game is good ol' game of fetch! That definitely helps with my energy! I also love to play with tennis balls and rope toys. I'll make a wonderful family dog!
Adoption Process: HAHS has an adoption application that you can fill out if you are interested in one of our animals. Once we receive the application we review and contact veterinary and personal references and make sure that the animal chosen is the best fit for your family and lifestyle. Our adoption fees are as follows: Dog/Puppy: $100 plus an additional $35 refundable spay/neuter deposit Kittens under 13wks :$25 plus an additional $35 refundable s/n deposit Cats: $40 plus and additional $35 refundable s/n deposit.
