My name is Mae and I was surrendered to the shelter in September 2012. I am a 10 month old spayed female Aussie Shepherd mix. The reason I was surrendered was because my owner had cancer and I just had too much energy for her to be able to handle. She was very sad to have to come to the decision to give me up, but she knew that's what was the best for me. I am a very friendly, playful girl and I have a lot of energy! I do have a tendancy to jump on people, but that is easily corrected! I have lived with children and I did great with them! I also lived with other dogs in the past and I got along great with them too! My favorite thing to do here at the shelter is to run around in the big fenced-in area...I love to play fetch!
Adoption Process: HAHS has an adoption application that you can fill out if you are interested in one of our animals. Once we receive the application we review and contact veterinary and personal references and make sure that the animal chosen is the best fit for your family and lifestyle. Our adoption fees are as follows: Dog/Puppy: $100 plus an additional $35 refundable spay/neuter deposit Kittens under 13wks :$25 plus an additional $35 refundable s/n deposit Cats: $40 plus and additional $35 refundable s/n deposit.
